this State, who shall neglect any of the requirements of the pre-
ceding section, or do or permit to be done in the factory, manu-
facturing establishment or work-shop conducted or managed by
him, her, them or it, any act contrary to the provisions of said
section, shall be gullty of a misdemeanor, and shall, upon con-
viction thereof in a court of competent jurisdiction, be fined one
hundred and fifty dollars for each offence so committed.
Heating Steam Passenger Cars.

150. It shall not be lawful for any steam railroad doing busi-
ness in the State after the 1st day of May, 1890, to heat its pas-
senger cars by any stove or furnace kept inside of the car, or
suspended therefrom, except that it may be lawful in case of ac-
cident or other emergency to temporarily use such stove or fur-
nace with necessary fuel; provided, that in cars which have been
equipped with apparatus to heat by steam, hot water or hot air
from the locomotive, or from a special car, the present stove may
be retained to be used only when the car is standing still; and
provided, also, that this section shall not prevent the use of
stoves for cooking purposes in dining-room cars.

151. Any person or corporation violating any of the provi-
sions of the preceding section shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be liable to a
penalty of one thousand dollars, and to the further penalty of
one hundred dollars for each and every day during which such
violation shall continue.
Importing Convicts.

152. Every commanding officer, captain or master of any
vessel who shall be convicted of wilfully importing in such
vessel into this State from any foreign country and not any part
of the United States, any felon or convict, shall be sentenced to
the penitentiary for not less than eighteen months nor more
than five years.
