WILD FOWL AND GAME. [ART. 15.

PORTIONS OF THE WATERS OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY NORTH OF A
CERTAIN LINE.

16. All that part of the Chesapeake bay and its waters lying
northward of the following line, viz.: Beginning at the lighthouse
on Turkey Point, in Cecil county, and drawn westward to a point
half a mile north of the most northerly part of Spesutia Island;
thence continuing said line still westward, within half a mile of and
north of the northern end of said island and the adjacent mainland,
until it reaches the shore in Harford county, at or near Oakington,
is hereby exempt and released from the operation and force of sec-
tions 1 and 3 of this article; and the following sections are in force
and operation northward of the said line, in this section particularly
described.

17. The season for shooting wild fowl northward of the line
described in the last preceding section, shall begin on the first day of
November in each and every year, and continue until the thirty-first
day of March next succeeding in each and every year hereafter;
and it shall not be lawful for any person to kill or shoot at wild fowl
northward of said line (except from shore), and southward of a
line drawn east from Point Concord lighthouse in Harford county
to Carpenter's Point on the western shore of Cecil county, at any
other time; and any person violating the provisions of this section

shall, on conviction thereof, be fined not less than fifty dollars, and
not more than one hundred dollars for each offence.

18. No person shall shoot or kill, or shoot at any wild fowl, in,
on, or over the waters lying northward of the line described in sec-
tion 1 of this act, in the night-time with gun or guns, of any size
or description whatever; and any person violating the provisions of
this section, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of

19. No person shall at any time, either in the day or night time,

of any shore in Harford or Cecil county; and any person violating
this section shall, on conviction thereof, be subject to a penalty for
