pealing ss. 1, 8, and 5 of 1867, c. 402, and re-enacting the same, and add-
ing thereto.

1870, c. 225, relating to the home of the friendless.

1870, c. 392, incorporating the house of reformation and instruction for
colored children, and appropriating a sum of money thereto.

1872, c 14, changing the name of the children's aid society, and other-
wise amending the constitution of said society.

1872, c. 29, relating to the Baltimore manual labor school for indigent
boys.

1872, c. 205, incorporating the board of managers of the Dolan chil-
dren's aid widely.

1874, c. 68, an act to enlarge and define the powers of the boys' home
society of Baltimore

1874, c. 233, an act to establish the Maryland house of correction.

1874, c. 314, appropriating a sum of money for the use of the house of
reformation ami instruction for colored children in Prince George's
county.

1874, c. 340, an act to confirm and enlarge the powers, &c., of the He-
brew orphan asylum of Baltimore.

ARTICLE

Registration.

1865, c. 159, enacts that there shall be added to the public
general laws a new article, bearing the title " Registration, "
under which shall be arranged by titles and sections, as in
other articles of the code, the laws to be made by the General
Assembly on the subject of the registry of births, marriages,
deaths and voters, as required by article III. of the constitution
of 1864, sects. 41 and 40; and such other subjects of regis-
tration as the legislature may enact and direct.
