ART. 20. ] TALBOT COUNTY.

the erection of new market house in said town, and
the commissioners of the town of Easton are hereby
directed to pay over to the said committee, or to their
order, or the order of a majority of them, the amount
heretofore authorized to be levied; or the said com-
mittee are hereby authorized, if in their judgment the

same should be necessary, to borrow the whole or any
part of the aforesaid sum of money; and for the pay-
ment thereof, the said commissioners of the town of
Easton shall execute and deliver to the said committee
the corporate note of said town with interest thereon,
payable at such times and on such terms as said com-
mittee shall designate, and the sum hereinbefore au-
thorized to be levied, shall be pledged to the redemp-
tion of said loan to the extent thereof.

Approved and in force April 8, 1870.

ROADS.

1870, c. 396, approved and in force April 4, 1870, repeals 1868, c. 329. [Sup. 1868,
p. 299. ]

1870, c. 431, approved and in force April 4, 1870, repeals 1868, c. 299 [Sup. 1868,
p. 100] so far as the same may relate to Talbot county.

1870, c. 479, approved and in force April 4, 1870, authorizes and empowers the
county commissioners of Talbot county to control and regulate the public roads in
said county.

TILGHMAN'S ISLAND.

1870, c. 401 adds the following:

 

219. It shall not be lawful for the clerk of the cir-
cuit court for Talbot county to issue license to any per-
son or persons to sell spirituous or fermented liquors
on Tilghman's Island, or within three miles thereof
