ART. 6. ] CAROLINE COUNTY.

received by him from any other person or persons, for
the use of said village, and shall well and truly pay
over to his successor in office, or to the order of the
commissioners of said village, signed by their clerk
and countersigned by their president, and perform all
other duties of his office according to law; he shall

keep full and correct accounts of all moneys received
by him, with the sources from which received and the
dates of such receipt, and of the disbursements made
by him, with the time when the person to whom and
on what account the same were made.

113. The assessors shall be appointed from among
the citizens of said village entitled to vote for commis-
sioners of said village, and before they shall proceed

of the peace for Caroline county, that they will assess
and value all the property of every sort within said
village, without favor, affection, partiality or prejudice,
to the best of their skill and judgment. They shall

valuation thereof, together with an alphabetical list of
the owners thereof, which shall be returned by them
to the commissioners on or before the thirtieth day of

one shall feel aggrieved at the valuation and assess-
ment of his, her or their property by said assessors,
he, she or they may appeal from such valuation to the
commissioners at any time within two weeks from the
return of the said assessment, and upon good cause
being shown, the said commissioners may make any
alteration in said assessment which they may deem
proper and right; and for the purpose of hearing and
determining the appeals provided for by this section,
