down upon "Kahler's plat" of the same, empowering said local board of supervi-
sors to do all acts and things in relation to the opening of said avenue, as may be
necessary for the full completion of the same, either under the original act of eigh-
teen hundred and sixty eight, chapter four hundred and eleven or this enabling act
thereto.
5. That the county commissioners of Baltimore county are directed to pay to Wm.
Webster, and such other parties as he may show to be entitled to receive the same,
the amounts due for re-building and repairing the bridges at "Monkton and Sparks"
over the Gunpowder river, which said work was done by said Webster, acting under
the law of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter four hundred and eleven, and
the amounts so paid to said Webster and others, shall be deducted from the general
road and bridge fund of said Baltimore county created by the act of eighteen hun-
dred and seventy.
6. That this act shall take effect from and after the date of its publication in the
newspapers above referred to.

SCHOOLS.
By the act of 1870, c. 347, Thomas J Gorsuch, school commissioner for the fifth
election district of Baltimore county, is authorized and empowered to sell and con-
vey the land upon which school house (No. 4) of said district formerly stood, and to
devote the proceeds to promoting a library for said school house (No. 4, ) as at pre-
sent numbered by the school commissioners of Baltimore county.
By the act of 1870, c. 42 the county commissioners of Baltimore county are author-
ized and required to convey to the county school commissioners of Baltimore county
a lot of ground therein mentioned.
The said act further provides that the board of county school commissioners of
Baltimore county shall have said lot or parrel of ground surveyed by the county
surveyor of said county, and the deed for the same shall be made according to the
courses and distances designated by this act and determined by said survey, and
the county commissioners aforesaid shall forthwith execute and deliver said deed.
TOWSONTOWN.
The act of 1870, c. 114 to incorporate Towsontown in Baltimore county enacts as
follows:

245. The corporate limits of the town of Towson-
town, in Baltimore county, shall consist of an area of
one-half mile in each direction from the intersection of
the Baltimore and York turnpike road, and the Du-
laney's Valley and Towsontown turnpike road, mak-
ing an area of one mile square, having the intersection
