contained within the said boundaries all such streets,
avenues, squares or alleys, as they shall deem proper
and convenient, the said streets, avenues or alleys, to
be laid off in conformity with the streets of Baltimore
city so far as practicable, and cause the same and the
limits aforesaid to be marked with so many and such
durable landmarks as they shall think necessary, and
return plats of said survey and location, with proper
explanations to the county commissioners of Baltimore
county, within thirty days after the completion of the
same, to be by them filed and recorded in a book kept
for that purpose, and preserved as other records of
their office.

237. The said county commissioners shall cause no-
tice to be published in each of the newspapers pub-
lished in Baltimore county, and in one of the papers
published in Baltimore city, once a week for three suc-
cessive weeks, that said plat and "proceedings had been
returned to the office of said county commissioners, and
that unless objections are filed on or before a day to be
named by said commissioners in said advertisement, not
exceeding thirty days from the return made by said
street commissioners, that the same will be ratified and

confirmed; but if objections are made within the time
required by this act, then the said county commission-
ers are authorized and directed to hear and determine
said objections, and to amend, alter or change the loca-
tion of such streets, alleys, avenues and squares, or any
part of such streets, avenues, alleys or squares as in
their judgment shall seem right and just, and when
so ratified, shall be public streets, avenues, alleys and
squares, and shall be opened, graded and paved as here-
