HUCKSTERS.

See the act of 1867, c. 272 under Public Local Laws, Art. I, Allegany county,
relating to hucksters in said county and in Harford and Washington counties.

JURORS.

See under Public Local Laws, Art. VII, Carroll county, the act of 1867, c. 32
providing for the selection, drawing and summoning of juries in Washington
Frederick and Carroll counties.

LICENSES.

1867, c. 98 enacts the following:

176. Prom and after the first day of April,
eighteen hundred and sixty -seven, it shall not be
lawful for any person or persons to bring into Wash-
ington county any carriages, hacks, gigs, buggy-
wagons, harness, wheat drills, reapers, horse-rakes,
ploughs or any description of farming utensils or
goods not manufactured in the state, to be sold on
commission or otherwise without first obtaining a
license for that purpose.

177. The clerk of the circuit court for Washington
county, upon application for license for the purpose
mentioned in the first section of this act, shall issue
such license upon the payment of forty dollars, and
such license shall be renewed annually.

178. Any person duly convicted of violating any
of the provisions of this act shall be subject to a fine
of not less than twenty nor more than fifty dollars
for each and every such offence, recoverable as small
debts out of court are recovered, and one-half of said
fine shall be appropriated to the use of the state, the
other half for the use of the informer, who is hereby
made a competent witness.
