year, elect three judicious and discreet persons, who
shall have resided within the limits of said town for
at least twelve months preceding the election as com-
missioners for said town.

 

216. All such elections shall be held and con-
ducted as shall, from time to time be directed by the
by-laws of the corporation, not inconsistent with the
provisions of this article.

217. If any of the commissioners during the year
for which he may be elected, shall die, resign,
remove from said town or be otherwise disqualified,
an election to fill such vacancy shall be held, at
which all persons qualified to vote, as herein before
mentioned, shall be entitled to vote.

218. If the inhabitants of said town shall, at any
time, neglect to make an election at the time herein
mentioned, the power of electing commissioners
shall not cease, but the Tight and power of said
inhabitants in that respect shall continue, and the
president and commissioners, for the time being,
shall continue in office until such election shall be
held.

219. The limits of said town shall commence at a
stone set in the ground on the south side of the road
leading from Warwick to Elkton, marked. third of
Ask more, and running thence to the point in the
middle of the main road, running from Warwick to
Middletown, where the state line crosses said road;
thence to a point in the middle of main road running
from Warwick to the Levels, where said line crosses
state road, thence to the intersection of the Head of
Sassafras and Cecilton road, thence to the north west
corner of J. B. Morton's lot joining the land of J. J.
Lockwood, thence to the place of beginning.
