CIRCUIT COURT.
1865, c. 117 amends section 52 as follows:

52. There shall be three terms of the circuit court
for Cecil county in each year, commencing respec-
tively on the second Monday in January, the first
Monday in April, and the third Monday in Septem-
ber.

CRIER.
1867, c. 279 enacts the following:

53. The county commissioners of Cecil county are
hereby authorized and required to pay out of the
general levy of said county to the crier of the circuit
court four dollars per day for each day said court is
in session and said crier is in attendance upon said
court, which said per diem shall be in lieu of all
other compensation.

JAIL.
1866, c. 69 enacts the following:
The county commissioners of Cecil county are hereby authorized and empowered
in their discretion, to build a new county jail for said county, or to repair or
rebuild the old one.
The county commissioners of Cecil county are hereby authorized to issue propo-
sals, and make contracts for repairing or rebuilding said old jail or for the build-
ing of a new one, as they may deem most proper, and to make such levy or levies
on the assessable property of said county as may be necessary to carry out the pro-
visions of this act.
The said county commissioners of Cecil county are hereby authorized, if in their
discretion they deem it proper, to sell and convey the present jail property in the
town of Elkton, and to purchase other lands for the use of said county, on which to
build a new jail and necessary out buildings.
