thirty days after such resignation, or removal; if any
justice dies, the delivery aforesaid, shall be made by
his administrator, or other person in whose hands
the said docket and papers may be, or come, within
thirty days after receiving them.

ORPHANS' COURT.

1864, c. 229 which repealed section 149, and enacted a substitute therefor, was re-
pealed by 1865, c. 169 which acts repeals all Public Local Laws relating to the pay
and mileage of Judges of the Orphans' Courts.
 

ROADS.

1864, c. 178 amends and re-enacts section 158 as follows :

Pay of hands,
&c.

158. The rates of compensation for labor on the
public roads for Caroline county, shall be for every
able bodied hand the sum of one dollar per day ; for
every cart and team, the sum of one dollar and thirty
cents per day.

In force from February 23, 1864.

NOTE —See the act of 1867, c. 289 relating to Roads in this and Talbot county, under Public
General Laws, An XXVIII County Commissioners by which all laws, or parts of laws
inconsistent therewith, are repealed
 

SCHOOLS.

1862, c. 170 adds the following

1862, c. 170.
District, No 3.
organized.

199. School district number three, in the first
election district of said county, is fully organized
as a school district, upon an equal footing with the
other school districts of said county, and the acts of
the present trustees of said school district are made
valid, and the said trustees shall continue as such
until the first Monday in November next, and until
their successors shall be duly elected and qualified ;

When trustees

on which, said first Monday in November next, be-
tween the hours of two and five o'clock, P. M., a new-
election for said trustees shall be held in the manner
