CALVERT COUNTY. [ART. 5.

fence, and if he shall kill, maim or otherwise in-
jure such stock he shall, upon conviction, pay to
the owner thereof the full value of such stock, with
costs of suit.

37. In all other cases of trespass by stock, the
party trespassed upon shall be entitled to recover
from the owner of the stock trespassing, the amount
of damage done by such trespass, as other debts are
now recovered; but if the party trespassed upon
shall kill, maim or otherwise wilfully injure the
stock trespassing, he shall forfeit his right to re-
cover, but in case of prosecution for such killing or
maiming, he shall be entitled to prove the amount
of damage done by such stock, in mitigation of dam-
ages for the killing and maiming.

JURORS.

186l. c. 34 repeals section 31 and substitutes the following:

1861, c. 34
Pay.

81. Every juror summoned to the circuit court for
Calvert county shall receive for each day he shall
attend said court, the sum of one dollar and fifty
cents.

In force from June B, 1881.

Note.—This act provided the same pay as above for the bailiffs, but, so far, It is repealed
by the act of 1867, c 260, which provides a uniform pay for bailiffs throughout the counties
of the State. See 1867, c 250, under Public General Laws, Art XXXVIII, Fees of Officers.

CONSTABLES.

1864, c 75, which added a section relating to the fees of constables, is repealed by
1865, c. 67, continued in force by 1867, c. 375. See these acts under Public General
Laws, Art. XXXVIII, Fees of Officers. They repeal all public local laws, relating to
the fees of constables.

ROADS.

See the act of 186T, r. 290 relating to Public Roads, under Public General Laws,
Art. XXVIII, County Commissioners.
