Hospital - Maryland

10. Appropriation.
14 Oath to be taken by officers to be
filed with clerk of superior court neglect
or refusal.

15. Officers hereafter elected to take oath
and clerk of superior court to report to
governor.

1865, c. 136 amends section 10 as follows:

 

SEC. 10. The president and visitors of the Mary-
land hospital shall receive from each county and the
city of Baltimore, two hundred dollars per annum,
for the support of each pauper lunatic sent from said
county or city to said hospital.

Appropriation.

1864, c. 129 adds the following sections :

 

14. The president, vice president, visitors and phy-
sicians of the Maryland hospital shall, before the first
day of May, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, take
and subscribe, before some person qualified by law
to administer oaths, the following oath or affirma-
tion: I do swear (or affirm) that I hare not borne
arms against the United States, nor given any aid,
countenance, sympathy or support to those engaged
in armed hostility to the government of the United
States, and that I will bear true faith and allegiance
to the United States, and support the constitution,
laws and government thereof, any law or ordinance
of any state to the contrary notwithstanding; the
said president, vice-president, visitors and physicians
