BRIDGE OVER PATUXENT NEAR QUEEN ANNE.
Chapter 121 enacts the following:
SEC. 1. Richard Wootton, of Prince George's county, and D.
McCullough Brogden, of Anne Arundel county, are hereby ap-
pointed commissioners with power and authority to have a
causeway constructed, connecting the bridge over the Patuxent
river, near the village of Queen Anne, in Prince George's
county, to the main or firm land in Anne Arundel county,
opposite the said bridge; the commissioners shall, after three
weeks notice in the newspapers published in each of said
counties, contract with the lowest responsible bidder for fur-
nishing the materials and doing the work necessary in the build-
ing of said causeway.
2. The expense of building said causeway shall be jointly
paid by the said counties, and the county commissioners of each
county are hereby directed and required, at their next annual
assessment or levy laying term, to levy the sum of money, not
exceeding the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars, to pay
for the same, and the said commissioners shall be paid such sum
as the county commissioners of the respective counties shall
deem just and reasonable to compensate them for services ren-
dered under this act.
