proper regulations for the management of the schools, and the
better regulation and deportment of the scholars, and of the in-
structions, books, maps and charts that shall be used and taught
in said schools.

9. The trustees of said schools, or a majority of them, shall
have power to sell and dispose of a portion of the primary
school house I6t in Chestertown, on part of which the school
house stands erected, and to convey the same in fee, by deed
duly executed and acknowledged according to law, to the pur-
chaser or purchasers, and apply the proceeds of sale to the re-
pair or improvement of said school house and premises.

10. If a more eligible site for a primary school house or
houses can be procured, the said trustees, or a majority of them,
shall have the power to sell and convey the school house, lot of
land and premises, or the remaining portion thereof, and convey
the same in fee by deed to the purchaser or purchasers, and
apply the proceeds to the purchase or purchases of land, and
erection of a new school house or houses within said districts,
for the use of said primary schools, and which shall be held in
trust for said schools, as the present property is now held.

In force from March 2,1864.
