78 FREDERICK COUNTY. [ART. 11.

to the county road leading from Johnson's Cross Roads to Fede-
ralsburg, thence with the said county road to the place of begin-
ning.

STATE'S ATTORNEY.

The Act of 1862, ch. 14, repeals section 30, and substitutes the following:

7. The county commissioners of Dorchester county are hereby
required to allow to and levy for the use of the State's Attorney
for Dorchester county, in all cases which may hereafter be tried
in said county, the fees following, to wit: In every case of mur-
der, arson, or rape, twenty-five dollars; in every case of felony,
other than murder, arson, or rape, fifteen dollars; in every case
of misdemeanor punishable, if the party charged be a white man,
by confinement in the penitentiary, or if a negro, by sale, ten
dollars; and in all other misdemeanors, five dollars; said fees to
be in addition to the regular appearance fees now allowed by
law.
