since the passage of the vetoed Bill.
[[IF THE GOVERNOR NEITHER SIGNS NOR VETOES THE BILL
WITHIN THE TIME HEREIN PRESCRIBED, THE BILL SHALL BECOME
LAW. ]]
The Governor shall have power to disapprove of any
item or items of any Bills Baking appropriations of money
embracing distinct items, and the part or parts of the
Bill approved shall be the law, and the item or items of
appropriations disapproved shall be void unless repassed
according to the rales or limitations prescribed for the
passage of other Bills over the Executive veto.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, (Three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
concurring), That the following be and the same is hereby
proposed as an amendment to Section 30 and 31 of Article
III - Legislative Department, of the Constitution of
Maryland, the same, if adopted by the legally qualified
Toters of the State, as herein provided, to become a part
of the Constitution of Maryland:

30.
Every bill, when passed by the General Assembly, and
sealed with the Great Seal, shall be presented BY THE
PRESIDING OFFICER OF THE HOUSE IN WHICH IT ORIGINATED to
the Governor, who,] FOR HIS APPROVAL . [[WITHIN SIX DAYS
OF PASSAGE IF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY IS IN SESSION. ANY
BILL]} ALL BILLS PASSED DURING [[THE LAST TEN DAYS OF]] A
REGULAR OR SPECIAL SESSION SHALL BE PRESENTED TO THE
GOVERNOR FOR HIS APPROVAL NO LATER THAN [[15]] 20 DAYS
AFTER ADJOURNMENT. WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER PRESENTMENT,
[[THE GOVERNOR,]] if [[he]] THE GOVERNOR approves [[it,]]
THE BILL. HE shall sign the saae in the presence of the
presiding officers and Chief Clerics of the Senate and
House of Delegates. Every Law shall be recorded in the
office of the Court of Appeals, and in due tiae, be
printed, published and certified under the Great Seal, to
the several Courts, in the sa»e aanner as has been
heretofore usual in this State.
31.
[No Law passed by the General Assembly shall take
effect, until the first day of June, neit after the
Session, at which it Bay be passed, unless it be
otherwise expressly declared therein. ] A_LAW PASSED BY
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SHALL TAKE EFFECT THE FIRST DAY OF
JUNE NEXT AFTER THE SESSION AT WHICH IT MAY BE PASSED,
