		CHAPTER 428 (House Bill 26) AN ACT to propose an amendment to Section 1 of Article VI of the Constitution of Maryland, title "Treasury Department," to provide that the salary of the State Treasurer is fixed by the General Assembly by law, and providing for the submission of this amend- ment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption or rejection. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, (three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two houses concurring), That the following section be and the same is hereby proposed as an amendment to Section 1 of Article VI of the Consti- tution of Maryland, title "Treasury Department," the same, if adopted by the legally qualified voters of the State, as herein pro- vided, to become a part of the Constitution of Maryland.
