every second year for a term of four years and until their successors are
appointed and qualify. Members to fill vacancies shall be appointed by the
Governor for the unexpired term.

345. The Commission shall employ and may discharge at its pleasure
a Secretary-Treasurer and such assistants as may be necessary and do all
other things deemed necessary to discharge the duties imposed by and to
effect the purposes of this sub-title. The Secretary-Treasurer shall possess
a broad knowledge of the generally accepted practices in the real estate
business in this State and be reasonably well informed as to the general
laws governing agency and contracts for the conveyance or leasing of real
estate. The compensation of the Secretary-Treasurer and that of all other
employees of the Commission shall be fixed by the Commission, subject to
the approval of the Governor.
The Secretary-Treasurer and Chairman shall give bond to the State
for the faithful performance of their duties in such sum as may be fixed
by the Governor.
The Chairman of the Commission shall receive as compensation for his
services as such the sum of $500.00 annually. The other two members of
the Commission, when present, shall receive as compensation $10.00 per
diem for each day the Commission shall be called by the Chairman to sit
to transact its necessary business, provided such per diem payments shall
not exceed $500 in any calendar year. Whenever any member of the
Commission is called by the Chairman to attend meetings outside the City
or County in which he resides or has a place of business and which is more
than ten miles distant from the place of meeting, he shall receive as addi-
tional full compensation, traveling expenses only at the rate of ten cents
per mile for the excess mileage.

346. (Office and Records.) The office of the Commission and all of
its records shall be kept in the office of the State License Bureau.
(a) The Commission shall adopt a seal with such design as the Commis-
sion may prescribe engraved thereon, by which it shall authenticate its
proceedings. Copies of all records and papers in the office of the Commis-
sion, duly certified and authenticated by the seal of said Commission shall
be received in evidence in all courts equally and with like effect as the
original. All records kept in the office of the Commission under authority
of this sub-title shall be open to public inspection under such reasonable
rules and regulations as shall be prescribed by the Commission.

347. (Funds—Expenses.) (a) All fees charged and collected under
this sub-title shall be paid to the Commission and be deposited to its
credit in such bank, banks or trust companies as may be designated by the
State Treasurer. All disbursements authorized by the Commission shall
be made by checks which must be signed by the Secretary-Treasurer and
the Chairman of the Commission.
(b) The Secretary-Treasurer shall provide for the keeping of accurate
books of account showing all receipts and all expenditures, and immediately
after the end of each fiscal year of the State shall file with the State Trea-
