1939, ch. 433, sec. 205M.
224. (Corporate Bond.) The Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor and
Court Clerks herein provided for shall give to the State of Maryland and
file with the Clerk of the Criminal Court of Baltimore City a good and
sufficient bond with corporate security to be approved by the Chief Judge
of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore in the penalty of $10,000 each, upon
the conditions expressed in each of said bonds that the person giving it will
truly and faithfully discharge, execute and perform all and singular the
duties and obligations of his office or position and that he will account and
pay over to the proper authority all fees, costs, fines, penalties and for-
feitures which he is bound to account for and pay over as aforesaid, and
that he will faithfully and truly account for and pay over to the party
entitled thereto by law all money belonging to such party which may come
into his hands.

225. (Accounting.) The several court clerks herein provided for shall
collect and take charge of all fines, penalties, forfeitures, fees and costs
imposed by the magistrate to whose court he is assigned and he shall account
to the Supervisor for all such monies collected by him at the close of the
Court session each day. The Supervisor shall account, within the time
prescribed by the Motor Vehicle Laws, to the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles for all fines, forfeitures, penalties, fees and costs collected in
the Traffic Court.
The several magistrates assigned to the Traffic Court shall handle no
funds of the Court and shall not be required to give any other additional
bond than that required by other justices of the peace under Section 715
of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1938 Edition).

226. (Quarters.) The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall pro-
vide suitable and proper quarters for said Traffic Court in the Police
Department Headquarters or such other place as may be convenient and
suitable.

227. (Expenses.) All necessary expenses for the operation of the Traf-
fic Court, including the salaries of the magistrates, substitute magistrates
and clerks herein provided for, shall be paid out of monies in the hands
of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles realized and collected from fines
and costs imposed by the Traffic Court.

228. (Process.) Whenever the owner or operator of a motor vehicle is
accused of a violation of any provision of the automobile laws of the State,
or of any local ordinance, rules or regulations of any municipality or county
of this State, and a warrant, summons or notice is served upon him to
appear for trial before a magistrate of the Traffic Court, he shall be notified
in said warrant, summons or notice of the nature and character of the
charge against him, and the day and hour of each trial shall be fixed at
such time, so far as may be practicable, as shall cause the least incon-
venience to such persons and the witnesses in said cases.
