and constables, and of the traveling expenses of said trial magistrates and
constables as specified in this sub-title, and of the compensation and ex-
penses of clerical assistants for trial magistrates when authorized, and for
the payment of the cost of providing quarters and equipment for such
magistrates.

114. (Penalties.) Violation of any of the provisions of this sub-title
shall be deemed a misdemeanor, punishable upon conviction in the Circuit
Court of the county by a fine of not more than $500.00, or imprisonment
for not more than one year, or both, in the discretion of the Court. The
State's Attorney of the county shall be charged with the enforcement of
this sub-title.1

1 Sec. 2, ch. 720, 1939, repealed the provisions of Secs. 152 and 208 of Art. 56 which
