but the said costs and fees shall be collected as heretofore and paid to the
County Commissioners. The said salaries in the respective counties shall
be as hereinafter provided.

99. (Reimbursement to Counties.) The trial magistrates shall promptly
report and remit to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, in accordance
with the Motor Vehicle Law, all fines, forfeitures, penalties and costs im-
posed and collected by them in cases of violation of said law. The Commis-
sioner of Motor Vehicles shall keep separate accounts for each of the trial
magistrates in the State. Not later than the fifteenth day of each month,
the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall remit to the County Commis-
sioners of each County the sum of two dollars ($2.00) for every case of
violation of the Motor Vehicle Law in said County during the preceding
month, for which accounting or due report has been made by said magis-
trates, said sums so remitted by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to
be applied by the County to the payment of the salaries and other expenses
specified in this sub-title.

100. (Number and Salaries.) The number and salaries of the trial
magistrates and the places where they shall sit in the several counties
shall be as follows:
(Allegany County.) There shall be ten trial magistrates, two of whom
shall sit for the trial of cases in the City of Cumberland, two at Frostburg,
one at Westernport, one at Lonaconing, one at Mt. Savage, one at Midland,
one at Cresaptown and one at Barton. The trial magistrates at Cumber-
land shall each receive an annual salary of $3,600.00. The trial magistrates
at Frostburg, or one of them, shall sit not less than one day or part thereof
in each week in Mount Savage and shall each receive an annual salary of
$1,200.00. The trial magistrates of Westernport, Lonaconing, Mt. Savage,
Midland and Barton shall each receive an annual salary of $600.00, pro-
vided that the salaries paid to trial magistrates in Allegany County shall
be paid by the County Commissioners and the incorporated towns in the
same manner as now prescribed by statute. The trial magistrate at West-
ernport shall sit not less than one day or part thereof in each week in
McCool. At least one of the trial magistrates at Cumberland shall be pres-
ent in his court room for the trial of cases from 9 A. M. to 4 P. M. each
day except Sundays and legal holidays, and shall be present at such other
times as the said magistrates may decide upon and as may be consistent
with the public business.
(Anne Arundel County.) There shall be three trial magistrates, one of
whom shall sit in Annapolis and receive an annual salary of $3,000.00;
one of whom shall sit in Ferndale and receive an annual salary of
$2,500.00; and one of whom shall sit in Galesville and receive an annual
salary of $1,500.00.
(Baltimore County.) There shall be fourteen trial magistrates, one
of whom shall sit in Catonsville, one in Cockeysville, one in Dundalk, one
in Edgemere, one in Essex, one in Fullerton, one in Halethorpe, one in
Kingsville, one in Parkton, one in Pikesville, one in Reisterstown, one in
Sparrows Point, one in Towson and one in Woodlawn.
The Baltimore County trial magistrates herein provided for shall hold
sessions on no less than four days in each week and such other sessions as
the duties of their office and public convenience may require.
