requesting such list of the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) for the said names
and addresses in any precinct or sub-division thereof for the April regis-
tration, or the sum of five dollars ($5.00) for the later registration in
1936.

39. The Board of Supervisors of Elections of Frederick County shall
not be required to give notice of persons registered or erased at any inter-
mediate registration in Frederick County subsequent to the year 1936 by
posting handbills; but notice shall be given only by publishing the names
and addresses of such persons in two newspapers (one of which news-
papers, if possible, shall be of the opposite political faith from that of
a majority of said Supervisors) within ten days after the return of the
list of voters registered and erased by the registrars.

40. In Garrett County a new genera! registration of all the qualified
voters of said county shall be made by the board of registry of said county
in the year 1936. Such new general registration shall be made in the
same way and under the same rules and provisions in all respects as are
in said Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Elections,"
sub-title "Registration," made for the first general registration, so far as
the same may be applicable, and except as herein modified. Each Board
of Registration shall sit for said new registration at the place designated
by the Board of Supervisors of Elections of said county on the eleventh
and eighteenth days of August, 1936, between the hours of 7.00 A. M.
and 9 P. M. and shall register names of voters on both of said days. The
registry of voters made under the provisions of this section shall super-
sede and thereafter be used in place of, the present registry of voters in
Garrett County. Provided further that the said several Boards of Regis-
try in said county shall in addition to the dates heretofore mentioned sit
on the regular days in said year 1936 as prescribed by said Article 33
for the registry of voters who are entitled to vote in said county but who
have not registered on the dates heretofore prescribed.

41. In the City of Baltimore there shall be a general registration in
the year 1936. For such general registration the Boards of Registry shall
be in session on the Tuesdays, respectively, six and four weeks preceding
such regular election, and on the Wednesday next following said Tues-
days, respectively. Before the November election in the year 1938, the
last general registration shall be revised by the Board of Registry in each
precinct where such election is to be held, and for that purpose a Board
of Registry shall meet on the Tuesdays, respectively, six and four weeks
preceding the regular election in November, and shall hold a session from
2 o'clock P. M. to 10 o'clock P.M., and names may be added to the registers
in the same way upon sworn application, as in the case of a general regis-
tration, and all the same forms and requirements shall be observed. If
it shall appear that any applicant had been upon the registers in any
other precinct or election district in the State of Maryland at any time since
