PREFACE.
The purpose of this Supplement is to bring the Annotated Code of
Maryland down to date. The Supplement was legalized and made
evidence of the law by the Act of 1935, Chapter 110. It supersedes the
1929 Supplement and includes the Public General Laws of 1927, 1929,
1931, 1933, 1933 Special Session and 1935, and annotations of all deci-
sions in 144' to 167 Md., 263 to 292 U. S., 68 to 78 L. Ed., and 297
Fed. to 74 Fed. (2nd Series), all inclusive, construing or referring- to the
Public General Laws or the Constitution of Maryland.
No change has been made in the numbering of existing sections but in
some instances, new sections have been lettered. In case of annotations
of a section which was not amended, enacted or repealed since the 1924
edition of the Code, the number of that section is printed followed by the
notes. An effort has been made to call attention to cases where a statute
has been amended subsequent to a decision but attention should be given
this matter by those using the volume. The annotations in Volume 1 or
Volume 2, as the case may be, should, of course be consulted, as well as
those in this Supplement,
Tables of the Acts of 1927, 1929, 1931, 1933, 1933 Special Session
and 1935 appearing in this Supplement will be found in the Appendix
preceding the Index.
Grateful acknowledgment is made of the assistance rendered by Misses
Ella S. Hitchcock, Nellie M. Webster and Mary Alice Flack in the
preparation of this book.
HORACE E. FLACK.
