35. It shall be unlawful to hold field trials with dogs in this State
during any closed hunting season, unless permission to do so is granted
by the Game Warden, and any Club or association holding a field trial
during any closed hunting season, shall not be allowed to shoot, or shoot at
any game of any species, which are protected by law.

Any person or persons owning any raccoon or opossum, bird or rabbit
dog or dogs, who desires to train said dog or dogs during any closed hunt-
ing season for the purpose of entering said dog or dogs in any field trial
must secure a permit by applying to the Game Warden to train said dog or
dogs during any closed hunting season.

36. Dogs brought into this State to participate in such field trials and
which are to be removed from the State within fifteen days after said field
trials are held, shall be exempted from the payment of State, City or
County license tax.

37. Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of Section
35 shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction before
any Justice of the Peace of the County or City where the offense was com-
mitted, shall be fined not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) nor more
than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) and costs for each and every
offense. Any person who fails to pay the fine so imposed shall stand com-
mitted to jail until the fine and costs shall have been paid, but such im-
prisonment shall not exceed sixty days for any one offense.

38. It shall be unlawful to hunt or take, in any manner, or by any
means whatever, the nest or eggs of any migratory birds, except in the
manner and by the means described by regulations duly adopted by the
Secretary of Agriculture of the United States and approved by the Presi-
dent of the United States by virtue of the authority conferred by the pro-
visions of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, approved July 3, 1918; and no
person shall take, collect or possess any nest or egg of migratory birds ex-
cept for scientific purposes and must also obtain a permit from the Game
Warden of this State.

(a) It shall be unlawful to hunt any wild waterfowl within the limits
of the State of Maryland, between the first day of February and the thirty-
first day of October, in each and every year, both dates inclusive, and it
shall be further unlawful to have in possession any dead wild waterfowl
between the tenth day of February and the thirty-first day of October in
each and every year, and it shall be unlawful to hunt any of the game
birds herein mentioned on Sunday.
