Department of the Maryland State Police, and not for the use of the
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles; and shall be expended by the Depart-
ment of Maryland State Police for the payment of employees of the
Department of Maryland State Police.
All sums of money set forth in the budget of the State of Maryland
for the fiscal years of 1936 and 1937 and budgeted to the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles, under the title "Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, "
sub-title "Motor Cycle Department, " sub-sub-title "Object of Expendi-
ture, " be and the same is hereby declared to be for the use of the Depart-
ment of Maryland State Police and not for the use of the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles, and shall be expended by the Department of Mary-
land State Police for the expenditures therein set forth.
The unexpended balance of all sums of money, as of June 1st, 1935, set
forth in the budget of the State of Maryland for the fiscal years of 1934
and 1935, and budgeted to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles under title
"Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, " sub-title "Motor Cycle Department, "
sub-sub-title "Salaries, Wages and Special Payments, " be and the same
is hereby declared to be for the use of the Department of the Maryland
State Police and not for the use of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles,
and shall be expended by the Department of Maryland State Police for
payment of employees of the Department of Maryland State Police.

1934 and 1935, and budgeted to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles under

declared to be for the use of the Department of the Maryland State Police
and not for the use of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, and shall be
expended by the Department of Maryland State Police for operating
expenses, as therein set forth.

8. Salaries, expenses and maintenance of the Department of Maryland
State Police shall be paid out of the gross income of the Department of
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, exclusive of that revenue produced by
fines and forfeitures, and exclusive of the revenue arising from Commer-
cial Hiring Truck License Fees and Commercial Hiring Franchise Truck
fees.

9. The Superintendent is authorized and required, immediately upon
entering upon the duties of his office, to enroll as employees of the De-
partment of Maryland State Police, the persons transferred to this De-
partment as set forth in Section 6 of this Article. The Superintendent
shall have the power and authority to enroll any person so transferred
to the Department to a rank one rank higher than the corresponding rank
held by such person as a motor cycle deputy or employee of the Com-
