All investigators of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, totalling six in
number, being Harvey E. Baker, William G. Edrington, Andrew Lin-
hard, Wilbour R. Conroy, Andrew T. Conner and George E. Davidson,
shall be transferred to the Department of Maryland State Police, and
shall be Detective Sergeants of the Department of Maryland State
Police; and shall not be investigators of the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles. Said Detective Sergeants shall be detailed by the Superintendent
to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles when requested by the Commis-
sioner of Motor Vehicles, and shall make all investigations assigned to
them by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
Dr. Howard M. Bubert, attached to the Commissioner of Motor Vehi-
cles, shall be transferred to the Department of Maryland State Police as
examining physician of the Department of Maryland State Police, and
shall not be attached to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles,
All chefs, attached to the Motor Vehicle Department of Maryland State
Police, under the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, totalling nine in num-
ber, shall be transferred to the Department of Maryland State Police, and
shall not be attached to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
All civilian employees now attached to the Motor Cycle Department of
the Maryland State -Police under the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles,
shall be transferred to the Department of Maryland State Police, and
such employees shall not be employees of the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles.
All officers, motor cycle deputies and investigators of the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles, transferred to the Department of Maryland State
Police, shall be and remain under the Merit System, and no civilian
employee shall have his or her status under the Merit System altered
by reason of his or her transfer to the Department of Maryland State
Police.
All transfers hereinbefore set forth shall be effective as of June 1, 1935.

7. All motor cycles, motor cycles and side cars, motor vehicles, motor
vehicle equipment of every kind and character, all fuel supplies, office
supplies and stationery, wearing apparel, live stock, office equipment,
household equipment, sub-stations, buildings, real property, or personal
property of every kind or character, and all property of every kind or
character, to which the Motor Cycle Department of Maryland State Police
may have any right, title or interest, be and the same is herewith trans-
ferred to the Department of Maryland State Police.
All transfers hereinbefore set forth shall be effective as of June 1, 1935.
All sums of money set forth in the budget of the State of Maryland
for the fiscal years of 1936 and 1937, and budgeted to the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles, under title "Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, " sub-
title "Motor Cycle Department, " sub-sub-title "Classification of Em-
ployees, " be and the same is hereby declared to be for the use of the
