priations, as required by Section 36 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, and by the same section of the Charter of Baltimore; and
where any board, commission or other municipal agency is given the cus-
tody or control of a fund or funds dedicated to a particular purpose, as,
for example, the distribution of the Park Fund by the Park Commis-
sioners (in accordance with the provisions of Section 9Y of Article 4 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, and by the same section of
the Charter of Baltimore), such board, commission or other municipal
agency may, in its discretion, obtain estimates from the Department of
Public Works of the cost of work, materials or supplies which said board,
commission or other municipal agency may require during the ensuing
fiscal year.
The Department of Public Works shall, on the request of any board,
commission or other municipal agency in control of dedicated funds, fur-
nish such materials or supplies and perform such services (incident to
the usual operations of said Department of Public Works) as such board,
commission or other municipal agency may require, and the cost of such
materials, supplies or services shall be billed against such board, commis-
sion or other municipal agency, and paid from appropriations out of the
dedicated funds.
PART IV.
GENERAL EFFECTIVE PROVISIONS.
All provisions of the Charter of Baltimore City, Public Local Laws,
Ordinances and Resolutions of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
or of any municipal board, commission or officer, inconsistent with the
provisions hereof be and the same are hereby repealed so far as the same,
or any of the same, may conflict or be inconsistent therewith; provided
that nothing herein shall affect the Public Improvement Commission, but
said Commission shall be, and continue to be, subject to all laws and ordi-
nances governing its creation and existence as have been heretofore, or
may be hereafter passed applying to said Commission; or be construed
as abridging or limiting the authority of the Commissioner of Health of
Baltimore City to make and enforce all rules and regulations necessary
for the preservation and maintenance of public health; and provided fur-
ther, that all municipal officials, employes, boards or commissions holding
any office or position in the "Department of Public Works" embraced in
this section shall continue to hold, exercise and discharge the duties of
their respective offices and positions for the remainder of their respective
terms or tenures as existing at the time of the adoption of this amendment,
and until they shall be superseded pursuant to the provisions of the Char-
ier of Baltimore City, or until their successors are duly appointed and
qualified.*
