1922, ch. 286, sec. 7. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 359.

359. This Act shall not be held or taken to repeal or modify Chapter
214 of the Acts of 1908 in any way; provided, however, that should the
County Commissioners of Baltimore County avail themselves of the right
to take ten million gallons of water from the Gunpowder River pursuant
to the terms of said Chapter 214 of said Acts of 1908, then this Act shall
be void.

360. The term "water main" and the term "system of water mains,"
as used herein in connection with the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County, shall mean any pipe or pipes intended by said County Commis-
sioners to supply any of the inhabitants of Baltimore County with water
for domestic or manufacturing purposes or to afford any of said inhab-
itants with protection against fire.

361. This Act and each and every section thereof shall be subject to
repeal or amendment at any session of the General Assembly of Mary-

362. No person shall haul, cart, carry, drag or deposit any dead carcass
or other carrion in Baltimore County, within one mile of the City of
Baltimore, unless he shall bury, or cause the same to be buried at least
two feet under ground, and so as effectually to prevent any offensive smell
therefrom, under the penalty of twenty dollars for each offence, together
with the expense of burying or removing the same.

363. Any person who shall remove or bury any dead carcass or offen-
sive carrion, thrown out and deposited contrary to the provisions of the
preceding section, shall recover, before any justice of the peace, against
the person guilty of such offence, all expenses thereby incurred in bury-
ing and removing same.

364. Any person occupying any real property or chattels real in Balti-
more County, either as tenant or owner thereof, or any person owning
unoccupied real estate or chattels real in said county, who shall know-
ingly allow any dead carcass of any domestic animals to be exposed upon
said premises without burial for a longer period than twenty-four hours,
shall, upon presentment, and conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and shall be liable to a fine of twenty dollars or imprison-
