58 ARTICLE 1.

to the transfer of the names of the voters who reside within the new pre-
cincts to new and additional records of registration and the expense of
the Supervisors of Elections or either of them and their appointees and
such other necessary expense as may be incurred in order to carry out
the terms and provisions of this Act; the itemized statement of which
shall be forthwith rendered to said Board of County Commissioners under
oath by the members of Board of Supervisors of Elections setting forth
in detail each item of expense, upon which said statement, said County
Commissioners shall make payment from the Treasurv of Allegany
County. *

160. A new Election District is hereby created in Allegany County,
to be known as "Election District 31," the same being taken from Election
District No. 8, it now being known as Precinct 3 in said Election District
No. 8; said Election District No. 31 shall be described by the following
metes and bounds:

Beginning at the mouth of Clay Lick Run on the Potomac River,
about one-fourth of a mile northeast of Dawson Station, and running
thence up the Potomac River southerly and northwesterly seven miles to
the mouth of Stony Run, then up said Run, northwesterly one and three-
quarter miles to a road crossing it at the head thereof leading down to
Westernport, then running up said road leading out to the top of Dan's'
Mountain, northwesterly about two and one-quarter miles to the road or
trail leading to Fairview on top of Dan's Mountain, marked 2680 on the
topographical map of the Maryland Geological Survey, then with said
road or trail, easterly about one-half of a mile to said Fairview, it being
also a corner of District No. 7, Rawlings, and with said District No. 7,
Rawlings, south six-tenths of a mile by a straight line to the head of Clay
Lick Run, then down said Rim, southeasterly one and nine-tenths miles to
the Potomac River, the place of beginning.

The Supervisor of Elections shall have proper books arranged for said
new District and shall appoint the proper registration and election officials
to perform the duties required by law, so that at all elections hereafter to
be held the voters in said District may cast their votes in the same.

1929, ch. 284, sec. 1.

161. It shall be the duty of the Board of Supervisors of Elections of
Allegany County, Maryland, and they are hereby authorized, directed and
empowered, to cause a survey to be begun in the month of June, Nineteen
Hundred and Twenty-nine (1929) for the purpose of establishing a new
Election District in Allegany County, Maryland, from portions of Dis-
tricts Numbers One and Two in said county; changing such lines and the
boundaries thereof as may be deemed expedient; after said Board of
Supervisors of Elections shall cause said survey to be made and determine
