1924, ch. 590, sec. 5.

157. The said Supervisors of Elections shall publish in two newspapers
of general circulation in Allegany County at least two weeks before the
first session of the registers of voters of Allegany County in the year 1924
a list of all names erased from the old registries and inscribed on the new,
so that any person whose name has been improperly erased from the old
registries and inscribed on the new may have ample opportunity to appear
before the registers of voters at their sessions and have the proper cor-
rections made.

1927, ch. 652, sec. 1.

158. It shall be the duty of the Board of Supervisors of Elections and
they are hereby authorized, directed and empowered, to cause a survey
to be begun in the month of January in the year nineteen hundred and
twenty-eight, of the several Election Districts and Precincts in Allegany
County, Maryland, examining the boundaries and lines thereof and in
their discretion they shall sub-divide said Election Districts into precincts-
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to establish such new and
additional precincts as in their discretion as will best facilitate and expe-
dite the casting of ballots by the voters therein, changing such lines and
boundaries thereof as may be deemed expedient; provided, however, that
no new precinct shall be established in any Election District unless there
-shall be in excess of five hundred (500) registered voters in said District,
and the sub-division of any Election District shall not be made whereby
any precinct shall contain less than two hundred voters (200), and pro-
vided, further, that any Election District having more than eight hundred
(800) voters registered therein shall be divided into such precincts as said
Board in their discretion deem necessary to facilitate and expedite the
casting of ballots; after said Board of Supervisors of Elections shall cause
said survey to be made and determine upon the number of precincts to^
be erected, it is hereby authorized, directed and empowered to employ a
competent surveyor who shall, under its direction, map, plat and reduce
to courses and distances all Election Districts and precincts, including the
precincts established under the terms and provisions of this Act, using
as far as possible, streets, roads, lanes, alleys and natural boundaries for
the lines thereof; said survey shall be completed on or before the third
week in the month of March, 1928, and when so completed it shall be
filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County,
and be recorded among the Land Records thereof as "Boundary Lines of
Election Districts and Precincts in Allegany County, Maryland, 1928",
and when so filed it shall become the official record of said Election Dis-
tricts and Precincts.

159. The County Commissioners for Allegany County are hereby
directed to pay the expense of said survey, including the surveyor and
his employees; the cost of preparing said survey; the expense incident.
