532 ARTICLE 2.

any contract be signed by either the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County or the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, the written
approval of said Public Service Commission shall first be obtained; and
provided further that said Public Service Commission shall have at all
times jurisdiction over said contract.*

510. The standards of weights and measures for Anne Arundel County
shall be kept in the office of the County Commissioners until the appoint-
ment of a keeper thereof.

511. The County Commissioners may, in their discretion, appoint a
keeper of the standards of weights and measures, who shall take possession
of the same, and shall, upon application, try, correct, brand, mark and
stamp weights and measures by said standards.

512. He shall give bond to the County Commissioners, in the penal
sum of five hundred dollars, for the safe keeping of said standards, and the
performance of the duties prescribed by law.

clerk of the County Commissioners shall perform the duties of such keeper.

too light or small, he shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty-five
dollars for each offense, upon conviction, on indictment in the Circuit

*The other sections of ch. 466, 1927, authorized the County Commissioners to
issue bonds to the amount of $50,000 and to levy taxes upon the property in the
First Precinct of the Fifth Election District for extending water mains into said
