fied as substitute, and said substitute, after having taken the oath afore-
said, shall hold office for the unexpired term.

(c) It shall be the duty of the Mayor and Council of Salisbury to
divide the said City of Salisbury into such precincts as they may deem
advisable from time to time, and to provide in each of said precincts 'a,
suitable place or places for said Registrars to perform their duties, and
shall require all persons living within said precinct to register and vote
in the place or places so provided.

(d) It shall be the duty of the Mayor and Council of Salisbury to fur-
nish the Registrars with suitable books in which to register voters accord-
ing to the provisions of this Act.

(e) The Registrars shall give at least two weeks' notice in two or more'
papers published in the City of Salisbiiry, of the time, as hereinafter
specified, and place or places of the sitting of the Registrars for the pur-
pose of registration.

(f) There shall be a registration of the qualified voters of Salisbury on
the last Monday in March and on the first Monday in April of each
year, at which times the said Registrars shall sit for the performance of
their duties from 8 o'clock A. M. to 6 o'clock P. M. If necessary for the
performance of their duties or for the convenience of the citizens of Salis-
bury, the Mayor may appoint another day or other days for such sitting,
of the Registrars.

(g) The registration to be held on the last Monday in March and on
the first Monday in April of the year 1928, shall be a general registration
of the qualified voters of Salisbury, and no person shall be allowed to vote
at any municipal election held thereafter unless he or she shall have been
registered at such time or at some succeeding registration day.

(h) The said Registrars shall, at their sittings:

1. Record upon the registration books the names of all persons who
are qualified voters of the said City under the provisions of this Act, and
whose names are not recorded in said books, who shall apply to said
Registrars for registration, together with such information as the Council
of Salisbury may from time to time by ordinance require to be recorded;
and

2. Strike from the said books the names of all deceased persons and
of all persons who shall have removed from the corporate limits of said
City and remained absent for a period of six consecutive months and
taken up their residence elsewhere.

(i) When the Registrars shall have completed their duties they shall
return the registration books to the Clerk of the Mayor and Council of
Salisbury.

(j) If anyone shall feel aggrieved by the action of the Registrars in
refusing to register or strike off the name of any person, or by any other
action, such person feeling aggrieved may appeal to the Council and its
decision shall be final.

(k) The registered voters shall on the first Tuesday of May, in the
year nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, and on the same day every two
