FERRY.
1912 ch. 627.
89. The County Commissioners of Wicomico and Dorchester Coun-
ties are hereby authorized and empowered to purchase, equip and main-
tain a modern motor power ferry boat for the ferry crossing the Nanti-
coke River at the Town of Vienna, known as the Vienna Ferry, and the
said County Commissioners of Wicomico and Dorchester Counties are
further authorized and empowered to levy a sufficient sum of money in
1912 for the payment of the cost of said motor power ferry boat, and
may levy annually thereafter a sufficient sum for the equipment and main-
tenance of said ferry, each of the said counties to pay one-half of the cost
of carrying out any and all of the provisions of this act.
FIRE COMPANIES.

90. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County are hereby au-
thorized and directed to appropriate and levy annually the sum of Six
Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) for the use of the Wicomico County Volun-
teer Firemen's Association. Said sum shall be paid annually to the Treas-
urer of said Association and shall be disbursed by him only by order of
the Board of Directors of said Association to the member companies
or departments of said Association, organized and motorized and ap-
proved by the said Association's directors, to be equally divided to com-
panies meeting the requirements of said board, only for the purpose of
purchasing and repairing fire apparatus and equipment; provided, how-
ever, that no payments shall be made to any company or department which
has any resolutions or regulations limiting the territory within which it
will respond to calls.

91. Any person who shall shoot a fox that is being pursued by a dog
or dogs in charge of a person or persons hunting the same for sport in
the limits of Wicomico County shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on
conviction thereof before a justice of the peace shall be fined not more
than ten dollars for each fox so killed, and stand committed until the
fine and costs are paid, said fine to be paid over to the Board of Educa-
tion of said county for the use of the public schools of said county;
provided, however, that this section shall not apply to any landowner
shooting a fox upon his own property.
