Land Records for said Wicomico County, Maryland, in Liber E. A. T. 97,
folio 172, are hereby ratified and confirmed.

28B. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County may at any
time in their discretion sell at public or private sale all of said lot or any
parcel thereof, when same may not be necessary for county purposes or
uses, and convey and execute a deed or deeds therefor, and the purchase
money be applied to the general expenses of Wicomico County, and said
Commissioners may lease any part or parcel thereof and apply the rental
thereof to the general expenses of Wicomico County.

28C. Any one who shall wilfully, negligently and maliciously set fire
to any brush, grass, or anything else, on his own land or the land of an-
other, or shall wilfully, negligently or maliciously allow fire to escape in
Wicomico county, Maryland, and by reason of such negligence or malice
the property of any other person or persons shall be injured or destroyed,
shall be a misdemeanor, and on conviction shall be subject to a fine of not
less than five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, and be committed
to the county jail until fine and costs are paid, or not over six months in
jail, or both, in the discretion of the Court or of the justice of the peace;
but any proceeding under this section shall not bar any person or persons
whose property is injured or destroyed from proceeding for the recovery
of damages by a civil suit before a justice of the peace or the Circuit Court
for Wicomico county, Maryland.

29. The provisions of Sections 241 to 245 of Article 4 of the public
local laws, title "City of Baltimore," relating to "Cruelty to Animals,"
shall apply to Wicomico county as fully as if repeated in this article.
