1912, ch. 765. 1914 Code, sec. 303.

423. From and after the first day of May, 1912, it shall not be lawful
for any person, firm or corporation to engage in hauling heavy timber,
cordwood excepted, over the public roads of Anne Arundel County for
commercial purposes without having first obtained a license so to do from
the Clerk to the County Commissioners for each vehicle or timber wagon,
cart or set of timber wheels engaged in hauling the same and paying there-
for to said clerk the sum of two dollars ($2.00) per month for each vehicle
or timber wagon or cart so used in hauling heavy timber for commercial
purposes. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this
Act shall, upon conviction before any justice of the peace in said county,
be fined a sum not exceeding fifty dollars for each and every offense.

424. All that part of Anne Arundel County described as follows:
Beginning for the first description at a point near the center of the
Patapsco River where the boundary line between Baltimore and Anne
Arundel Counties intersects the center line of the State Road leading
from Westport to Annapolis, by way of North Linthicum, and binding on
the center of the said State Road southerly for a distance of about 1,300
feet; and thence leaving the said State Road and running with the center
of an old road known as Hollins Ferry Road, the said road being also one
of the west boundaries of the First Precinct of the Fifth Election Dis-
trict, for a distance of about 1,510 feet to the center line of the old Short
Line Railroad, now the property of the Terminal Real Estate Company;
thence continuing with the center line of said road, southerly about 725
feet to a point in the said road (known as the Belle Grove State Road at
this point) 200 feet easterly as measured at right angles to and from the
center line of the State Road leading to Annapolis; thence parallel to and
200 feet easterly from the same, southerly for a distance of about 6,600
feet to the center of the bed of an intermittent stream known as Cabin
Branch; thence with the said stream bed westerly 200 feet to the center
of the aforementioned State Road; thence continuing with the said Cabin
Branch Westerly for a distance of about 3,350 feet to the center of the
right-of-way of the North Shore Branch of the W., B. & A. Electric Rail-
Toad; thence westerly for a distance of about 1,270 feet to the intersec-
tion of the State Road leading to Camp Meade with the center line of the
New Cut County Road leading toward Blacks School; thence with the
center line of the said New Cut Road northwesterly for a distance of
about 4,900 feet to the boundary line between the properties of R. L.
Shipley and Andrew Walinski; thence leaving said road and binding on
the said property line northerly to the southwesternmost corner of the
property of the Shipley Heights Development Company; thence with the
