4732 ARTICLE 22.

Sprecher Mill property to the Western Maryland Railroad, then following
said Western Maryland Railroad in a northeasternly direction to the di-
viding line between the farm recently owned by Charles Eckstine and
Flora A. Eckstine, his wife, and the farm recently owned by David E.
Eckstino and Fannie E. Eckstine, his wife, which dividing line is shown
on a plat of property owned by Eckstine Brothers, and recorded in Liber
136, folio 525, one of the Land Records of said Washington County, then
following- said dividing line and a straight continuation of the same to the
Cumberland Valley Railroad, then following said Cumberland Valley
Railroad in a northeasternly direction to the Liuwood Road, as shown on
a plat of Prospect Place, recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Washington County in Plat Record Book No. 1, page 114, then
following said Linwood Road in a southernly direction to the said Hagers-
town and Williamsport Turnpike Road, and then from the said last men-
tioned point in a straight line to the place of beginning.

175. The polling places of said new election district shall be at some
place in the village of Halfway to be selected and designated by the Super-
visors of Elections for said Washington County, and that said Super-
visors of Elections for said Washington County, are hereby required to
appoint the necessary registration officers and judges and clerks of elec-
tion for said new election district and make all necessary provisions for
the registration and voting in said new election district as they are now
required by law for other election districts of said Washington County,
and that for the purpose of correcting the registries of voters for Election
Districts Nos. 2, 3, 10 and 24, it is hereby made the duty of the Super-
visors of Elections of said Washington County to furnish new duplicate
registries for the said new election district, and to direct and require their
clerk to make up from, the registries of said Election Districts Nos. 2, 3,
10 and 24, as said books were originally made and inscribed, a registry
of voters for said new election district by striking from the said original
registries the names of all voters entitled to vote in said new election dis-
trict, and to inscribe the same on the new registration books of said new
election district; and when said clerk shall have erased from the old books
and inscribed in the new books the names of the voters who are entitled
to register only in the said new election district in all cases of erasure the
said clerk shall draw a line in red ink through the names thus erased or
transferred, and under the heading "Remarks" on said old registries shall
enter the words "Transferred by formation of new district," and the said
Supervisors of Elections are hereby required to deliver said new registries
to the registers of voters to be appointed for said new district at the same
time that other registration books are required by law to be delivered.
For his services in transferring said names from the old districts to said
new district the said clerk shall receive the sum of one hundred ($100.00)
dollars, to be paid by the County Commissioners of Washington County
on the certificate and order of the said Supervisors of Elections.
