402. The name of the tributary or branch of the Choptank river
known as Dividing creek, extending into Talbot county, and upon which
the landing for the town of La Trappe, in said county, is located, is
changed to La Trappe river, and said Dividing creek shall hereafter be
called and known by the name of Dividing river.

403. The name of the tributary or branch of the Choptank river, ex-
tending into Talbot county, known as Harris' creek, is changed to Harris
river, and that known as Broad creek, is changed to Broad river, and said
Harris' creek and Broad creek shall hereafter be called and known by
the names of Harris' river and Broad river, respectively.

404. The name of the tributary or branch of the St. Michael's river,
known as Leeds creek, extending into Talbot county, is changed to Leeds
river, and said Leeds creek shall hereafter be called and known by the
name of Leeds river.

405. The name of the tributary or branch of Wye river, known as
Skipton creek, extending into Talbot county, is changed to Skipton river,
and said Skipton creek shall hereafter be called and known by the name
of Skipton river.

406. The County Commissioners of Talbot County shall have the
control and regulations of the public roads and bridges in said county,
subject to the provisions of this act.

Adopted by the people of Talbot, Wicomico and Dorchester Counties; rejected
by the people of Caroline County.

Oh. 295, 1892, authorized Talbot County to issue $25,000 of bonds to pay subscrip-
tion to capital stock of the Baltimore and Eastern Shore R. R. Co., was held invalid
in Balto. & E. S. R. R. Co. v. Spring, 80 Md. 510.

Oh. 169, 1898, authorized Talbot County to subscribe to $15,000 of the stock of
the Trappe, Easton and Cambridge R. R. Co., subject to approval of the voters.

Ch. 90, 1902, authorized $25,000 of bonds for refunding railroad bonds and for
floating debt.

+Talbot County has been authorized to issue bonds for roads as follows: 1916,
ch. 303, $50,000; 1920, ch. 430 (amended by ch. 68, 1924), $200,000.
