325. The preceding section shall only apply to the counties of Talbot,
Queen Anne's, Prince George's, Kent, Caroline, Charles, Harford and
Dorchester.

ORPHANS' COURT.

1920, ch. 107.

326. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Talbot County shall each
receive, in addition to the compensation now received, the sum of one

dollar per day for every day's attendance upon the sessions of said Court.

1927, ch. 465.

327. The Judges of the Orphans' Court for Talbot County shall each

receive, in addition to the compensation now received, the sum of Two
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($2.50) per day for every day's attendance upon

the session of said Court.

OXFORD.

328. The inhabitants of Oxford in Talbot County and all other per-

sons holding real property in said town are hereby made and declared a
body corporate by the name of "The Commissioners of Oxford" and by
that name shall have perpetual succession, may sue and be sued, and
may have and use a common seal and may alter the same at pleasure, and
possess such powers, privileges and incidents as may attach by law to a
municipal corporation, may purchase and hold real, personal and mixed
property and may sell or dispose of the same, including any and all right,

title and interest of The Commissioners of Oxford in and to the existing
electric light plant and system consisting of the real estate, power plant,

distribution and transmission lines, meters, appliances, fixtures, rights, ap-
purtenances, privileges and franchises and any other physical property con-
stituting a part of or used in and about said electric light plant and sys-
tem, or any part or parts thereof, if, in the discretion of the said Commis-

sioners of Oxford, any sale or sales thereof or of part or parts thereof
shall be for the benefit of said town. In selling any property owned by
said town, including said electric light plant and system, the Commis-
sioners of Oxford may do so by deed or other instrument of conveyance,

with or without warranties of title signed by the President of the Commis-
sioners of Oxford under the corporate seal thereof and attested by its
Secretary, or said deed or other instrument of conveyance may be exe-

cuted by such other duly authorized officer or officers of The Commission-
ers of Oxford as shall be designated by ordinance duly adopted by The
Commissioners of Oxford. If The Commissioners of Oxford shall sell
said electric light plant and system, they may grant unto the purchaser
thereof, his or its successors and assigns, a franchise or franchises to use

the streets, alleys, parks and public places of the Town of Oxford for the
