4538 ARTICLE 21.

voters of the town as evidenced at a special election held for that purpose
after the proposition has been given full publicity by newspaper adver-
tisement, in some newspaper published in the town of Easton, once in
each of four successive weeks, the last insertion being at least ten days
before the date fixed for such election, except purchases for or additions
to, municipally owned public utilities after such proposed purchases have
been recommended by the Easton Utilities Commission and approved by
the Mayor and Council of Easton as provided in Chapter 263 of the Acts
of 1914; and provided, further, that no public utility now owned or here-
after acquired by the town shall be sold, leased or in any other manner
disposed of, nor (notwithstanding general authority may elsewhere in the
Charter be conferred) shall the Mayor and Council of Easton contract with
or grant a franchise, or other license, to any individual, company, or pres-
ent or prospective corporation, for the performance of any public service
which may now, or likely hereafter be brought in commercial or other
competition with any municipal utility now owned by the town or likely
to be created without the previous approval of three-fourths of all the
registered voters of the town, as evidenced at a special election held for
that specific purpose, after due publication of all the details and condi-
tions of the proposition by newspaper advertisement in some newspaper
published in the town of Easton once in each of four successive weeks, the
last insertion being at least ten days before the date fixed for such elec-
lion; and they may use a corporate seal, and may alter the same at pleasure.

130. The taxable limits and boundaries of the town of Easton shall be
extended according to the following metes and bounds, courses and dis-
tances, to wit:

Beginning at a stone at the present northeasterly corner of the town
of Easton, said stone being known herein as corner number one; thence
(1) with the present north boundary of the town of Easton, South 85
degrees 16 minutes West, 3,797.7 feet to a stone at the present north-
westerly corner of the town of Easton, said stone being known herein as
corner number two; thence (2) South 70 degrees 46 minutes West, 900.6
feet to corner number three, said point or corner being on the southerly
side of the stream known as the Tanyard Branch of the Tred Avon River
and distant westerly 200 feet from the line of the westwardly side of the
building at the North Sewage Disposal Plant of the town of Easton;
thence (3) South 24 degrees 23 minutes West and approximately at right
angles to Miles River Road (Bay Street), 168.5 feet to the southerly side
of the said road and corner number four; (4) South 22 degrees 15 min-
utes East, 3,052.2 feet to a monument stone marking the present south-
westerly corner of the town of Easton and known herein as corner num-
ber five; thence (5) South 27 degrees 54 minutes East, 1,011.0 to corner
number six, said point or corner being on the northerly edge of a stream or
ditch in Adkins meadow and also being the southwesterly corner of the
