1412 ARTICLE 20.

utes east twenty feet; thence south seventy-nine degrees and fifteen min-
utes east one hundred feet to the present harbor line; and thence north
eight degrees and fifteen minutes east, by and with the present harbor
line, to the extent of said harbor, for the purpose of obtaining deeper water
so as to admit of the erection of houses and wharves alone; the same.

LIQUOR AND INTOXICATING DRINKS.

1927, ch, 403, sec. 1.

115. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons or body corporate
to manufacture, transport into Crisfield for destination therein, sell, at-
tempt to sell or keep for sale anywhere within the corporate limits of the
town of Crisfield, Somerset County, State of Maryland, intoxicating,
spirituous or fermented liquors, except cider and home-made wine on the
premises where manufactured in quantities not less than one gallon; and
it shall not be lawful for any person, persons or body corporate to solicit
or take orders for such intoxicating liquors, at any time, under any pre-
tense or in any manner or for any purpose whatever within the limits of
said town of Crisfield, and any person violating any of the provisions of
this section shall, upon conviction thereof in the Circuit Court for Som-
erset County or before a Justice of the Peace of said Somerset County,
trying the case, be fined not less than fifty dollars and not more than one
hundred dollars or be confined in the Maryland House of Correction for
not less than six months nor more than two years, or both, for each and
every offense; provided that nothing in this section shall be taken to refer
to wine for sacramental purposes or other religious rites nor to any phy-
rsician in the bona fide treatment of patients nor to persons acting under
the instruction or advice of physicians.

116. (A) If any taxpayer or voter in the town of Crisfield makes a
sworn complaint or affidavit before a Justice of the Peace for said Somer-
set County, particularly describing the building, place, automobile or other
vehicle, boat, air or water craft, in said town of Crisfield, to be searched
and the thing to be searched for, that he has reason to believe and does
believe that intoxicating liquor is manufactured, sold or kept for sale
therein in violation of the provisions of this Act, such Justice of the Peace
shall issue his warrant upon probable cause shown, directed to the Sheriff
of said Somerset County, commanding him to search the building, -place,
automobile or other vehicle, boat, air or water craft described and desig-
nated in said complaint and warrant, and if intoxicating liquor shall there
be found in quantities and under such conditions as to suggest that it be
kept for sale, the said officer shall take into his possession and safely keep
all of such intoxicating liquor and the container or containers in which it
is contained, and all the paraphernalia used for the sale of the same, all
the paraphernalia or part of the paraphernalia of a barroom or drinking
saloon, and forthwith report in writing all the facts and make immediate
return on said warrant.
