town are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to fix and from time
to time change the compensation said Treasurer shall receive for the duties
imposed upon him by this section, and said compensation, together with
the cost, if any, of the bond hereinafter mentioned, shall be paid out of
the sums received from consumers of electric power and energy for elec-
tric services and shall be considered part of the cost of maintenance of
said plant and shall be in addition to the other amounts allowed to said
Treasurer for his other duties. The said Treasurer, before entering upon
the duties required of him by this Act, shall give to the Town Commis-
sioners of Queenstown a bond in such amount and with such surety or
sureties as the Town Commissioners of Queenstown shall determine and
approve, condition for the faithful performance of the duties imposed upon
him by this Act.

350. If at any time the revenue derived from the payment of said
electric service by consumers shall be insufficient to pay the expenses, of
running and maintaining said plant, and repairing the same, then the
Commissioners of said corporation are hereby authorized and empowered
to deposit from time to time in bank to the credit of the same account
mentioned in Section 348 of this Article, from the proceeds of the tax they
are now authorized and directed by law to levy for the use, improve-
ment and expenses of said town such sum or sums, not to exceed in the
aggregate in any one year five hundred dollars, as may be necessary, in
their judgment, to make up said deficiency; and the said sum or sums
so deposited shall be used in the payment of the expenses of running and
maintaining said plant, and repairing the same, and for no other purpose
whatever, and shall be withdrawn from bank in the same manner as the
other funds of said account are directed to be withdrawn by said section
of this Article.

351. The Town Commissioners of Queenstown are hereby authorized
and empowered to pass all ordinances, not inconsistent with this Act,
that they may deem neecssary to protect and preserve the plant and equip-
ment mentioned and provided by this Act.

352. It shall be the duty of the Commissioners or municipal officers
of said corporation to cause to be published annually for one week in a
newspaper published in Queen Anne's County an annual statement of
receipts from consumers for use of the electric plant and of all expendi-
tures of maintaining and repairing said plant and enlarging the same.

353. Nothing in this Act contained is intended or shall be taken or
construed as relieving the Town Commissioners of Queenstown from any
