receive any gratuity for making any commitment, granting any release,
or the performance of any duty required by law in criminal cases, or when
acting as coroner; but the said County Commissioners shall in no case
pay the aforesaid salary until the said Police Justice shall have first filed
his monthly reports as required by Section 275 of this Article.

275. Said Police Justice shall at the first regular monthly meeting of
the County Commissioners held in each month make a report in writing
verified under oath, made before the clerk of said commissioners or before
one of the commissioners, of all cases for violation of any of the Public
General Laws and Public Local Laws heard or tried before him during
the preceding month, and also a like report of all cases for violation of
any ordinance of any incorporated town in said county of Queen Anne's
heard or tried before him during the preceding month, which said reports
shall each state, in each and every case, the name of the defendant, the
offense charged, the name of the person upon whose complaint the war-
rant was issued, the number and names of witnesses summoned, the name
and official capacity of the officer serving the warrant, and summons, the
judgment rendered, the amount of fine or penalty imposed, the amount

of costs taxed, which shall include all constables, or sheriff's fees, and the
amount of fines and costs collected by him, and all such fines and costs,
including constables and sheriff's fees for serving warrants and summons,
and all other process which in all cases shall be properly taxed and col-
lected, and said Police Justice shall at the time of filing said reports and
as a part of each of said reports, pay over to the County Commissioners

of Queen Anne's County, the whole amount of all fines, penalties, for-
feitures, justice's costs, all constable's and sheriff's fees and State's wit-
ness fees collected and received by him; which said fines, penalties, for-
feitures, justice's, constable's and sheriff's and State's witness fees col-
lected and received by said Police Justice for the violation of any Public
General Law or any Public Local Law and paid over to said County Com-
missioners shall be appropriated by said County Commissioners to the
payment of all fees in criminal cases chargeable against Queen Anne's
County; and all fines, penalties, forfeitures, justice's costs, and constable's,
sheriff's and State's witness fees collected and received by said Police
Justice for violation of any and all ordinances of any incorporated town
in said County, so paid over to said County Commissioners, shall be paid
to the Commissioners of the incorporated town in which said violation

occurred, by said County Commissioners after deducting therefrom all
justice's costs and constable's and sheriff's fees in all cases tried and heard
by said Police Justice for the violation of any ordinance of any incor-
porated town in said County; and the said justice's costs so deducted and

collected for the trial of cases in violation of the ordinances of any incor-
porated town in said County shall be used and paid on account of the
salary or compensation of said Police Justice, as hereinbefore provided
bv Section 274 of this Article.
