FINES.

233. The Clerk of the Court of Queen Anne's County and the Jus-
tices of the Peace of said County are hereby authorized and directed to
pay to the County Treasurer of said County all fines in his or their pos-
session, respectively, and which are unclaimed by the informers. The
unclaimed fines thus paid to the County Treasurer shall be credited to the
general funds of Queen Anne's County.

234. It shall not be lawful to kill or injure any fox in Queen Anne's
county, when pursued by dogs.

235. It shall not be lawful to expose for sale any fox, or hide thereof,
at any season of the year, and it shall not be lawful to shoot or trap any
fox between November the first and April the first in each year; provided,
nothing in this Act, however, shall prevent anyone from killing any fox
when found depredating on poultry or stock at any season of the year.

236. Any person or persons guilty of violating any of the provisions
of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof before some justice of the peace of said county shall pay a fine
of ten dollars, one-half of which shall go to the informer and the other
half into the school fund of said county, and in default of the payment
of said fine shall be confined in the county jail for a term of not less
than five or more than twenty days.

237. The keeper of the jail of Queen Anne's county shall be appointed
by the sheriff of said county, and shall hold his office during good be-
havior, removable by the sheriff, or by a presentment of the grand jury
of said county and conviction of misconduct in the circuit court for said
county.
