4220 ARTICLE 18.

drive upon the unpaved public grounds adjacent to the Court House in
the town of Centreville, Queen Anne's County, Maryland, known as the
Court House Square, or who shall in any manner mutilate, cut or destroy
any flowers, shrubbery or tree within and upon said Court House Square,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction thereof before
a Justice of the Peace of said Queen Anne's County shall be fined not
exceeding the sum of twenty-five dollars for each offence, together with
the costs of prosecution, and, in the discretion of the said Justice, may
be committed to the County Jail for Queen Anne's County until said
fine and costs are paid.

220. The crier of the circuit court for said county shall be entitled
to three dollars a day for each day he shall attend the sittings of said
court, in lieu of all fees; and the crier of the orphans' court, one dollar
and fifty cents for each day.

221. The provisions of sections 241 to 245 of Article 4 of the public
local laws, title "City of Baltimore," relating to "Cruelty to Animals,"
shall apply to Queen Anne's County as fully as if repeated in this article.*

ELECTION DISTRICTS.

222. Queen Anne's county is divided into seven election districts,
according to their present names, bounds and limits, and all elections for
public officers shall be held in each of said election districts at the places
now established by law for that purpose.

223. The fifth election district of Queen Anne's county is divided into
two separate and distinct polling or election precincts, to be divided and
designated, as follows: By a line beginning at the head of Blunt's Creek,
an estuary of Chester River, and running thence in a straight line to the
head of Dividing Cove of Wye River, between the lands of Mrs. Mary
C. Bryan and the lands of William W. Nelson, and thence with Wye
River to the extreme end of Bennett's Point; that part of said fifth election
district lying north and east of said line, and including Wye Island, to
be and constitute one of said precincts, and to be known as Queenstown,
or precinct number one. That part of said district lying south and west
