deed shall be received for record without said certificate. At the time
of submitting the deed to the Clerk of the County Commissioners, the
person offering the same shall furnish said Clerk with a statement of the
buildings, if any, upon the land conveyed by said deed, and the price
paid for the property. All Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent herewith
"are hereby repealed.
COUNTY TREASURER.

193. At the general election of delegates to the General Assembly to
be held on Tuesday after the first Monday of November, eighteen hundred
and ninety-nine,* and at such election eveiy four years thereafter, there
shall be elected a county treasurer for Queen Anne's County, by the
qualified voters of said county, who shall hold his office for the term
of four years from the first day of June following, and until his succes-
sor is elected and qualified, and who shall be subject at all times to be re-
moved for wilful neglect of duty or misdemeanor in office, upon convic-
tion in a court of law, and in no event shall he be eligible to re-election
until he shall have fully settled up all business connected with his former
term. It shall be the duty of said county treasurer to collect all State
and county taxes levied in Queen Anne's County, or payable to the County
Commissioners of said county and to receive as such treasurer all money
belonging to said Queen Anne's County, uo matter from what source de-
rived, and said treasurer shall assess all new unassessed property in said
county; and for this purpose he shall be clothed with all the powers
possessed by the collectors of taxes by virtue of the provisions of the Code
of Public General Laws as same may exist during his term; and said
treasurer shall furnish all stamps and stationery he may require, and
shall receive an annual salary of eighteen hundred dollars, and the further
sum of twenty-five cents for each person's property assessed by him; said
treasurer shall before entering upon the duties of his office, execute to the
State of Maryland two bonds with a guarantee or surety company of this
State as surety, to be approved by the County Commissioners of said
county, one for fifteen thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful col-
lection and payment to the State Treasurer of all State taxes levied and
placed in his hands for collection and the faithful performance of all other
duties devolving on him; and another bond for twenty-five thousand dol-
lars, conditioned for the proper collection of all taxes levied and placed
in his hands for Queen Anne's County, and for the proper disbursement
of all such taxes and all other money of said county coining into his hands
from whatsoever source derived and the faithful performance of all other
duties devolving on him; said bonds to be filed and recorded in the office
of the clerk of the Circuit Court for said county.
