public schools of that county not later than the tenth day of each month,
such sum or sums of money as may be due them for salary for the pre-
ceding month, and if the funds on hand are not sufficient for this purpose
the Board of County School Commissioners of said county is hereby au-
thorized and directed to borrow temporarily what may be needed; and to
give a note for the amount, signed by the President and the Treasurer.*

909. It shall be unlawful for the Board of County School Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County to borrow any money or give any note
or security for the borrowing of any money on the faith and credit of
Prince George's County, unless they are especially authorized so to do by
an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland.

910. No note, scrip, certificate of indebtedness, or other evidence of
indebtedness hereafter issued by the Board of County School Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County shall be binding upon the said County
and payable out of the funds thereof, unless the same shall be especially
authorized by an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland.

911. The members of the Board of Education of Prince George's
County shall each receive annually the sum of four hundred dollars
($400.00) for travelling and other expenses incident to attending the meet-
ings and transacting the business of the Board within the county, the said
sums to be put in the School Budget and to be levied by the County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County, +

912. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince George's County
are hereby authorized to act as a Sewerage and Drainage Commission for
said County; that for the purpose of considering and transacting such busi-
ness as may arise through the operation of this Act, they shall convene
regularly, once each month, or oftener, not exceeding four times a month,
however, should there be business of sufficient importance or volume to
warrant and at such points as may be best suited to the business under
consideration. The compensation to be paid the members of said Com-
mission for the duties placed upon them by this Act shall not exceed the
amount of two hundred and fifty dollars each in any one year. It shall be
