County Commissioners as the representatives of the county for such
purposes.

1922, ch. 200, sec. 284.

892. The County Commissioners of Prince George's County shall in
the annual levy next succeeding the passage of this Act, and in each annual
levy thereafter, levy upon the assessable property basis of Prince George's
County not more than thirty cents per $100.00 of such assessable basis
for the use of the roads and bridges of said county. The County Treasurer
of said county is hereby directed to report on the first of each month, begin-
ning June 1st, of each year, to the said County Commissioners, the amount
of county taxes collected by him for the preceding month, and on the Tues-
day next succeeding the day of such report, the said County Commis-

for the use of the road fund, for at least one-half of the amount so reported
as collected by the Treasurer each month until the whole amount of money
levied for road and bridge uses in each year shall have been paid into the
road fund.

Should the levy of 1922 be made before the passage of this Act, then
the said County Commissioners, by their warrant on the County Treasurer

The Board of County Commissioners is hereby directed to pay annually
to the proper authorities of incorporated towns, three-fourths of such part
of such road and bridge taxes, as may be realized each year from the prop-
erty within the limits of the respective towns. Nothing herein contained
shall be construed to prevent the County Commissioners from levying, in
addition to the road and bridge fund herein provided for, or from appro-
priating any sum or sums of money necessary for the building of roads
under any State-aid Road Law, or lateral road scheme now or hereafter
in force in this State, but on the contrary, the said County Commissioners
shall each year ascertain from the State Roads Commission the yearly
amount assigned out of the road funds for that year to Prince George's
