have been submitted to the registered voters of said town at an annual
or a special election called for that purpose and the same shall have been
adopted by a majority vote of said registered voters of said town at such
election Any such election for the adoption or rejection of any such ordi-
nance or ordinances shall be conducted by the Board of Election Super-
visors in the manner provided by Section 274 of this Article. Any such
ordinance or ordinances so passed or enacted by said Commission and so
adopted by a majority of the registered voters of said town at an election
as aforesaid shall have the force and effect of law within said town on the
tenth day (including Sundays and holidays) after said Commission shall
have posted a notice to that effect together with a copy of such ordinance
or ordinances in five public places in said town. At least one notice to-
gether with a copy of such ordinance or ordinances shall be posted in each
ward and at least one notice together with a copy of such ordinance or
ordinances shall be posted at the regular meeting place of said Commis-
sion And it shall be the duty of said Commission to post such notices
together with copies of any such ordinance or ordinances within ten daya
(including Sundays and holidays) after said Commission shall have been
notified in writing by the Board of Election Supervisors of the adoption
of any such ordinance or ordinances And it shall be the duty of said
Board of Election Supervisors to give such written notice to said Com-
mission of the adoption or reaction of any such ordinance or ordinances
within two days (including Sundays and holidays) after any such ordi-
nance or ordinances shall have been adopted or rejected by the registered
voters of said town at an election held as aforesaid

(B) Upon petition of sixty per centum of the registered voters of said!
town who are resident taxpayers upon real property in said town, any
ordinance, consistent with law, for the government of said town, shall be
submitted by said Commission, for adoption or rejection by the registered
voters of said town, within thirty (30) days (including Sundays and holi-
days) after such petition shall have been filed with said Commission at
one of the regular monthly meetings of said Commission Provided, how-
ever, (a) that such petition shall be typewritten or printed, (b) that such
petition shall set forth in complete detail each and all the provisions of
the ordinance, in proper form to be submitted for adoption oi rejection,
(c) that such petition shall be sworn to before the Secretary Commis-
sioner, as to the genuineness of the signatures thereon or attached thereto,
by the person presenting such petition to, or filing such petition with,
said Commission, and (d) that not less than ten (10) typewritten or
printed copies of such petition be filed with said Commission at the time
that the original petition is so presented or filed And the election for
the adoption or iejection of any such ordinance shall be conducted in the
manner provided by Section 274 of this Article, and any such ordinance
and shall go into force in the same manner as is provided for in paragraph
A of this section

(C) In order to insure the observance of such ordinances, in addition
to the action of debt or other civil remedies as may exist by law in such
