PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY. 3799

(C) Said town Treasurer shall not disburse or dispose of any of the
funds coming into his hands as such town Treasurer except upon check
duly signed by him as The Cottage City Treasurer and countersigned by
the Chairman Commissioner (or by the Acting Chairman Commissioner
pursuant to a resolution of said Commission, which said resolution must
first be placed on the minute books of said Commission), and attested by
the Secretary Commissioner.

(D) Said town Treasurer shall, as soon as the annual levy is made and
placed in his hands for collection, give notice by posting same in five public
places in said town, at least one of said notices being placed in each ward
and at least one of said notices being placed at the regular meeting place
of said Commission, and proceed to the collection of taxes within said
town in compliance with the laws for the collection of taxes enacted by
the State legislature for the collection of State and County taxes in Prince
George's County.

(E) Said town Treasurer shall make, at each regular monthly meeting
of said Commission, a monthly written report to The Cottage City Com-
mission, which said report shall state, in itemized form, all receipts and

disbursements of town money coming into his hands, which said monthly
report shall be signed and sworn to, as being a complete and accurate
report, by said town Treasurer before said Secretary Commissioner.

(F) The Cottage City Commission shall examine each such monthly
report of said town Treasurer and, within one month after the filing of
the same by said town Treasurer, the said Commission, at a regular or
special meeting thereof, shall, by resolution entered in the minute books
of said Commission, approve or disapprove of such report. Such monthly
report shall be filed among the town records and the yea and nay vote of
each Commissioner on the resolution approving or disapproving such re-
port shall be entered in the minutue books of said Commission. And the
adoption by said Commission of a resolution approving any such monthly
Teport of said town Treasurer shall be considered as a certificate, to the

citizens of the Town of Cottage City, of each Commissioners so voting an
approval of such monthly report that, after careful examination of the
matter, he considers such monthly report to be complete and accurate.
Provided, however, that nothing contained in this Act shall in any wise
affect the liability to said town of said town Treasurer; and provided, fur-
ther, that nothing contained in this Act shall in any wise affect the liability
of the surety or sureties on the bond of said town Treasurer.

(G) In the event that said Commission, after careful examination, shall
adopt a resolution disapproving any such monthly report of said town
Treasurer, said Commission shall, within five days (including Sundays
and holidays) of the adoption of such resolution, notify said town Treas-
urer of the fact of the adoption of such resolution disapproving such
monthly report and of the reason or reasons for such disapproval and call
upon said town Treasurer to make another and accurate report or satis-
factorily explain to said Commission such part or parts of such report as

shall have been disapproved by said Commission. Such notice may be
